Health condition
People with high cholesterol levels are prone to coronary heart
disease. People with poor eating habits or eat food rich in fat,
or have taken steroids in their life, seem to develop high cholesterol.
Some individuals with low liver function and a diminished thyroid
activity, can also have this problem.
Excessive cholesterol contributes to atherosclerosis
and subsequent heart disease. The risk of developing heart disease
or atherosclerosis increases as the level of blood cholesterol
increases.
