Ayurveda approach
According to Ayurveda, premature ejaculation is due to vata being
aggravated. Vata is characterised by its qualities of quickness
and heightened sensitivity to the sense of touch. This gives a
predisposition toward quicker ejaculation and when vata is increased
in a person with vata, sex cannot be sustained, or preejaculation
is common.
Fear, anxiety or nervousness may be associated due
greatly to the irritated vata dosha. It may also be due to high
cholesterol deposits in the blood vessels of the penis and the
whole reproductive system. This causes lack of sphincter control,
resulting premature ejaculation when blood vessels become thick
and narrow so that blood supply to the muscles of the penis and
prostate is inadequate. To deal with this problem, we need to
balance vata by following some of these effective ways:
· Change of Diet
A man with vata disorder, should change or maintain a vata-soothing
diet. Follow a low cholesterol diet if you have a high cholesterol.
Keep sugar intake low if you have diabetes as men with this problem
tend to experience premature ejaculation.
· Almond milk
Almond is a good source for improving sexual drive and sexual
related problems. Adding saffron, an aphrodisiac, to this milk
drink makes it an effective remedy.
You need:
10 almonds
a cup of hot milk (cow’s milk)
saffron
pinch of ginger
pinch of cardamom
Just soak the almonds in water overnight. Peel off
the skin and blend it with the milk and other ingredients. Take
this almond drink every morning and you can have second helpings
in the evening.
· Herbal remedy
A combination of Ayurveda herbs makes this herbal drink effective.
You need:
Vidari
Bala
Ashwagandha
Add ½ teaspoon of this mixture to warm goat’s
milk. Substitute cow’s milk if goat’s milk is not
available, however, the latter is more effective. Take this drink
twice a day.
· Ginseng milk
Ginseng shares the same properties as the Ayurveda herb ashwagandha
and is effectively helpful. Add ½ teaspoon to a cup of
warm goat’s milk and take it after lunch and dinner.
· Yoga Exercise
Try the following yoga asanas exercises:
The Bow, Fish, and Camel poses
Elevated Lotus
Vajrasana
· Penile Massage
Regular massage to the penis helps improve blood circulation and
stimulate the muscles, dilating the blood vessels and using the
mustard oil has a heating effect that’s more effective.
Add 5 to 10 drops of mustard oil to 1 ounce of sesame
oil. You can also use castor oil to improve the tone of the sphincter
muscles. Use gentle strokes.
Take note!
Massage one hour prior to sexual intercourse. After an hour or
beforehand, wash the penis thoroughly to avoid stinging your partner’s
delicate skin with the hot mustard oil.
If you like, you can also massage the pubic bone and the glands
penis before making love with brahmi ghee, shatavari ghee or another
medicated ghee which you can use is ashwagandha ghee.
· Prostate Massage
Prostrate problem like prostatitis, is associated to premature
ejaculation. A massage to this area with castor oil is also helpful.
You can also use sesame oil.
Apply a few drops of oil to the perineum, the spot
between the testicles and anus. With circular motions, rub the
area. Then complete the massage using light strokes, from the
anus toward the base of the penis.
· Contracting exercises
This is not masturbation nor a endorsement of masturbation exercise
but an exercise to learn how to control your organ to be ready
and not ejaculate.
Stimulate the organ up to the point of ejaculation.
Do not ejaculate, instead sit up straight as in a Lotus position,
and raise the energy level by pulling or squeeazing the anus inward
in a series of tense-release movements, also known as Ashwini
Mudra. Do this 10 times to train yourself to be ready and not
ejaculate. Start this exercise 1 to 2 hours prior to lovemaking.
Other exercises you can try is learning how to control
ejaculation by contracting buttock muscles. Find the marma point
located in the middle of the glans penis, on the underside and
gently press this point. Simultaneously, squeeaze the anus inward
and hold it for about five seconds and then, release. Repeat this
for another 9 times. Start this buttock toning about 1 hour before
intercourse. This exercise will improve blood flow to the penis
and helps maintain erection.
